Meet Our Coaches

Heidi has coached for over 15 years in the Central Oregon area. Molding some of the top athletes and players of the year all over Central Oregon. Heidi has also helped guide many players interested in playing at the next level through the college recruiting and scholarship process.  As a club director Heidi oversees all teams at COVC and develops relationships with each of the athletes. COVC relationships become family!  Heidi teaches correct fundamentals, and prides herself in teaching Gold Medal Squared philosophy throughout her COVC club.

Coach Kate brings a competitive edge, college play experience, and a passion for the game to Central Oregon Volleyball Club!

Kate will be coaching our elite local team this season! Kate played years of club and high school before competing 4 years at the collegiate level! Kate has coached high school volleyball, and is a great coach for our 17/18s groups!  Kate also has college recruiting experience and will help navigate her players who are interested in the next level of play! 

COVC hit the jackpot with this coach!  Faith has coached all levels beginner to high school and brings energy to our locals program!  Faith will be coaching on of our 14s National travel team this season!  Faith brings a balance of passion and consistency to our program!  She was raised and played with the same core fundamentals that COVC implements!  Faith not only offers great coaching but she builds athletes passion and love for volleyball!

 COVC is blessed to welcome back Jordan Mewhirter to our coaching staff this season!  Jordan is new to the Bend area and has played competitive volleyball from second grade and into college!  Jordan was a setter and libero, she was also selected for the Nor-Cal all star game during her back during her playing career.  Jordan brings energy, coaching experience, and a love for the sport!  Jordan will be coaching a local High School team this season!  Welcome back for another great season Jordan! 

  COVC is excited to announce this gem of a coach!  Julia Sutter will be joining our 14 locals coaching staff this season!  Julia played volleyball through her school years in Ohio where she great up.  She has coached with Bend Parks and Recreation and stepped up the help coach 7th grade at Pilot Butte Middle School!  Julia enjoys being active in her daughters sports and activities and being an amazing positive role model for all the athletes!  She is so excited to develop her team in fundamentals, teamwork and passion for volleyball!  Welcome Julia! 

Taelor is ready to another great season as one of our 14 locals coaches.  Taelor played her high school season at Redmond High School and continued to chase the sport in college!  Taelor has since married and has an amazing little girl, and is ready to give back to the community she grew up playing in and share her volleyball passion with our local 14s athletes!  We are excited to have Taelor, and see her grow athletes fundamentals, as well as, their skills this season!

COVC is proud to bring back Parker Warren this season as a 14s local coach!  Parker was once a COVC player who is giving back to the sport!  Parker coached one of COVC's local high school teams last season and is excited to share her passion, and be a great coach to our 14s! Can't wait to see what Parker does this season with her team!  Welcome back Parker, thank you for being a part of the COVC coaching family!

COVC's coach Celena iis excited to return to our 13/14s travel team staff this season! Celena will be coaching our 13s or 14-s travel team this season!  Celena has such passion for the game and building the youth!  And in her playing years was a force on the court!  Celena moved to Central Oregon a few years ago and had a hole in her heart to fill by getting back on the court with youth in volleyball!  She is passionate an competitive and wants to make a positive impact in youth volleyball! We welcome her and are very excited to see her pass her skills, knowledge and volleyball passion to our COVC players! 

 Welcome Jeni and Kaci Cox!  Jeni and Kaci will do a great job with our locals High school program this season!!  Jeni has coached years in the community as well has extensive playing experience!  Kaci is just finishing a great college career at Eastern Oregon University in LaGrande!  Kaci grew up and trained in the same program for years and was one of the most decorated players in Central Oregon, and a Bend High State Champ alumni!  Kaci played for years under the coaching of Heidi, and is coming home now to give back to the Central Oregon athletes!  This is one duo who will do big things this season!

 COVC Welcomes Cassee Terry to our local Redmond based teams High School coaching staff!  We are so excited to have Cassee join the COVC family!  Cassee is a Central Oregon native who graduated from Redmond High School, and continued her volleyball and basketball career at the collegiate level!  She provides competitive coaching, with the needed support for players looking to grow their fundamentals while challenging them to be the best they can be!  Cassee brings great heart, discipline and respect for the game and all it encompasses for life lessons beyond the sport! 

COVC welcomes Josye Miller to the coaching line up!  A former standout player at Ridgeview High School, Josye went on to play college volleyball and graduate and has returned to give back to our Central Oregon Volleyball community!  What is Josye coaching this season....well tryouts will tell us for sure, she may join the coaching staff of another high school travel team...it is hard to tell until we have tryouts, but we are excited to have her!

COVC returns the amazing Coach Kory to our local 12s coaching staff!  Kory brings a long history of coaching from middle school in Vancouver, High School in Portland, Boys in New York, High School in Sweet Home and Madras High School.  Kory loves working with youth and teaching proper fundamentals while making volleyball FUN! Kory also had a stellar collegiate volleyball career with many personal awards and school records. Can't wait to see Kory develop the true future players of COVC!

COVC welcomes back  Coach Gaby to our program! Gaby grew up and played in Northern California and recently moved to Central Oregon to be closer to her Fiance's family!  Gaby has coached many different age levels for years from middle school to competitive high school age athletes!  During her club years she was coached under Auburn Coach Brent Crouch (who fun fact was Heidi's daughter Hannah's college coach) and has learned under the Gold Medal Squared coaching program that teaches the best, CORRECT fundamentals.  Coach Gaby will assist our 18-1 Nationals Coaching staff this season!  We are so excited to return Gaby our coaching team!

COVC welcomes Bailey Thompson to our coaching staff!   Bailey has played volleyball for 8 years, as well as, playing competitively in college.  She was a born as a natural libero.  After playing in college Bailey went on to coach for NW Elite and relocated to Central Oregon.  Bailey has a true passion for volleyball and for building correct fundamentals while building athletes passion!  What is Bailey coaching this season?  Good question...with upcoming tryouts Bailey will jump into 12s, 14s or 15-2... but where ever she is she will do a great job and we are excited to add her to our coaching staff!

COVC welcomes back Coach Kristin to our local 12s program!  Kristin has extensive experience in playing (and still plays in adult league), and coaching!  Kristin has been a coach for many athletes over the years in the Central Oregon community!  Kristin was taught in the same Gold Medal Squared fundamental program that we teach at COVC.  She bring passion, knowledge and correct teaching to our program!  Kristin did a fantastic job with our 12s local group last season and we are so excited to have her back again for another amazing season!  

  COVC was soooo excited to have this gem of a coach for our 14s locals last season and are excited to welcome back Coach Abby Jackson to our local 14s program! Abby brings competitiveness, drive and FUN to volleyball!! Her team thrived under her coaching and passion! She was their biggest cheerleader and their biggest push and improved not only her teams skills but her teams love for volleyball!!
