Meet Our Coaches

2024/25 Season Heidi is Coaching our 17 Nationals team and will be a coaching assistant/training assistant to our COVC 14s Travel teams.

Heidi has coached for over 17 years in the Central Oregon area. Molding some of the top athletes and players of the year all over Central Oregon. Heidi has also helped guide many players interested in playing at the next level through the college recruiting and scholarship process.  As a club director Heidi oversees all teams at COVC and develops relationships with each of the athletes. COVC relationships become family!  Heidi teaches correct fundamentals, and prides herself in teaching Gold Medal Squared philosophy throughout her COVC club.

COVC is excited to return a player and parent FAVORITE for the 2024/25 season, Bailey Thompson!   Bailey has played volleyball for 10+ years, and played competitively in college.  She was a born as a natural libero.  After playing in college Bailey went on to coach for NW Elite and relocated to Central Oregon, when she coaches at Summit High School, and COVC.  Bailey has a true passion for volleyball and for building correct fundamentals while building athletes passion!  She is a coach proven to push athletes to their maximum potential, while creating a TEAM culture!  We can't wait to see Bailey develop her team this season!

COVC welcomes one of the most decorated coaches in Central Oregon as our 16 Nationals Head Coach, Rory Rush!  Rory has coached many years in Sisters and took that program to state multiple state appearances and championships.  Rory has also collected multiple Coach of the Year awards, and coaching accolades.  Rory brings passion, experience, and a proven record of developing a team into a winning team!  We are excited to have Rory join our COVC coaching team this year!

COVC has a true sports gem in this coach!  Coach Remi took the bull by the horns last season and pushed the 16 Elite players beyond any expectation!  Together with Coach Jake they made practices intense, and her players really embraced her philosophy and drive.  Remi is currently coaching at college level in Washington, and will return to Central Oregon for club season.  Remi brings passion, commitment, and knowledge to our athletes! Having a successful college career she is ready to spread her wealth and knowledge of the game and develop competitive players while pushing them, and creating a TEAM culture.  Fun fact - Josi also played for Heidi back in her glory High School days!

COVC is proud to welcome back Coach Ashlee DePrater to a new role 14s Travel Coaching staff!  Ashlee started playing club and school ball at the age of 12 in California and hasn't stopped since!  She played on a club college team, and added beach to her passion her freshman year in college!  Having some amazing coaches throughout her years, she is excited to finally give back to a sport she loves so much in a coaching role!  Playing volleyball and being on a team is more then just a sport to Ashlee. The life skills, bonds, and responsibility volleyball taught Ashlee at a young age and those skills have taught her to push her athletes the same.  She is so excited to coach our up and coming COVC super stars  this season.  Ashlee is excited to lead and build her team, and create a great bond and trust with each player.   

 COVC is proud to bring back Parker Warren this season as a 13s/14s Travel Coach!  Parker was once a COVC player who is giving back to the sport!  Parker is currently coaching at Obsidian Middle School, and as expected doing a fantastic job.  Parker has experience coaching at both the high school and middle school level, and always brings high energy and effort to her team! Can't wait to see what Parker does this season with her team!  Welcome back Parker, thank you for being a part of the COVC coaching family!  The energy and love Parker brings is truly remarkable!  Parker has a special way of making players not like the game, BUT LOVE THE GAME, and thrive under her coaching style!

COVC welcomes back one of our most requested high school local coaches Mailee Noble! For our 2024/25 Coach Mailee will be Co-Coaching our 18s Elite this season with Coach Mahryahna..we call them the M&M team!  Both coaches bring passion, commitment and experience!  Mailee is going to be having baby girl #3 in January, but knowing her she will birth a child and be on the court the next day!  That is who she is, and how she rolls!~  Mailee brings so much to COVC and her athletes, we are excited to see her grow this group this season!

COVC hit the jackpot with this coach!  Faith has coached all levels beginner to high school and brings energy to our locals program!  Faith will be coaching one of our 15s/16s travel teams for the 2024/25 season!  Faith brings a balance of passion and consistency to our program!  Faith is great at developing correct fundamentals, and builds a great team culture!  She was raised and played with the same core fundamentals that COVC implements!  Faith not only offers great coaching but she builds athletes passion and love for volleyball!

 COVC is excited to return Coach Alex this season!  Alex is one of the top sand volleyball players in Central Oregon.  He has a passion for volleyball and many years coaching experience!  Alex will assist our 17s travel team with Heidi and Syrie this season!  This will be a great trio!  He brings knowledge and experience to the program that will help push our 17s to a higher level of play this season.  Alex brings energy and brings not only competitiveness to the game, but fun to the players!  Alex has been a huge player favorite and he is excited to get these athletes back in the gym!

 COVC is proud and excited to return Cassee Terry to our local Redmond based teams High School coaching staff!  Cassee has been a great addition to our COVC family!  Cassee is a Central Oregon native who graduated from Redmond High School, and continued her volleyball and basketball career at the collegiate level!  She provides competitive coaching, with the needed support for players looking to grow their fundamentals while challenging them to be the best they can be!  Cassee brings great heart, discipline and respect for the game and all it encompasses for life lessons beyond the sport!  Not to mention she is competitive!  (Coach Kyle from Portland's Hiki No thought he would photo bomb)

COVC welcomes Josye Miller to the coaching line up!  A former standout player at Ridgeview High School, Josye went on to play college volleyball and graduate and has returned to give back to our Central Oregon Volleyball community!  What is Josye coaching this season....well tryouts will tell us for sure, she may join the coaching staff of another high school travel team...it is hard to tell until we have tryouts, but we are excited to have her!

COVC returns the amazing Coach Kory to our local 12s coaching staff!  Kory brings a long history of coaching from middle school in Vancouver, High School in Portland, Boys in New York, High School in Sweet Home and Madras High School.  Kory loves working with youth and teaching proper fundamentals while making volleyball FUN! Kory also had a stellar collegiate volleyball career with many personal awards and school records. Can't wait to see Kory develop the true future players of COVC!

COVC welcomes back  Coach Gaby to our program! Gaby grew up and played in Northern California and recently moved to Central Oregon to be closer to her Fiance's family!  Gaby has coached many different age levels for years from middle school to competitive high school age athletes!  During her club years she was coached under Auburn Coach Brent Crouch (who fun fact was Heidi's daughter Hannah's college coach) and has learned under the Gold Medal Squared coaching program that teaches the best, CORRECT fundamentals.  Coach Gaby will assist our 18-1 Nationals Coaching staff this season!  We are so excited to return Gaby our coaching team!

COVC welcomes back Coach Kristin to our local 12s program!  Kristin has extensive experience in playing (and still plays in adult league), and coaching!  Kristin has been a coach for many athletes over the years in the Central Oregon community!  Kristin was taught in the same Gold Medal Squared fundamental program that we teach at COVC.  She bring passion, knowledge and correct teaching to our program!  Kristin did a fantastic job with our 12s local group last season and we are so excited to have her back again for another amazing season!  

  COVC was soooo excited to have this gem of a coach for our 14s locals last season and are excited to welcome back Coach Abby Jackson to our local 14s program! Abby brings competitiveness, drive and FUN to volleyball!! Her team thrived under her coaching and passion! She was their biggest cheerleader and their biggest push and improved not only her teams skills but her teams love for volleyball!!
