How We Started:
Central Oregon Volleyball Club was started in 2018, by Heidi Wood. Heidi is a long time successful coach in Central Oregon, coaching for the last 11 years. She has started, taught, and finished many of the most accomplished volleyball players in all of Central Oregon, including her own daughters. Heidi's eldest daughter, Hannah Troutman, went on to be a well decorated player at the University of Portland, and continued playing professionally overseas. Rylee Troutman, a recent Ridgeview High School graduate, received many awards throughout her high school career and was recognized as one of the top players in the nation. Many girls have thrived and achieved huge success including college scholarships, recruitment offers, confidence, and truly experienced the meaning of team sports under Heidi's coaching. Heidi started this club as a competitive but affordable option in Central Oregon that will meet all of its athlete's needs.
Some wish for it... we WORK for it!
We promote consistency through all levels of our club, focusing on the fundamentals of the sport at every level. We teach good volleyball habits and how to play together as a team. On and off the court, players will learn great leadership skills and how to be a vital part of their team.
"It is not the team with the best players that win, it's the player with the best team."
We strive for team success, and our priority is developing the skills each player needs to be an integral part of that. Hard work, players that are eager to learn, and good coaching are the recipe for success.
